Autumnal Street Life 2017
The light in Autumn/Fall can be dramatic. This post Autumnal Street Life 2017 is about capturing the golden colours and people at this time of year. As I’ve said many times before, street photography and photographing people going about their daily lives is one of my favourite pastimes.
The girl in this next photograph was just blowing out her cigarette smoke as the shutter clicked.
In this day and age, it’s rare to see anyone smoking, let alone capture the smoke from their cigarette. As usual, there was no pre-planned set up, the photograph just unfolded in front of me.
This third photograph is a young lady who’s obviously been busy shopping.
She was moving from the shade into a space of light which I thought would make for an interesting shot. Christmas presents? Who knows? The sun is quite low in the sky and to the front of her. The trees behind are much darker than the other photographs on here. It really is a great time of year to be outdoors, facing the challenges the low afternoon sun offers.
His Jacket Matches The Sky
The final photograph is a young man who passed me by very quickly. I had noticed him approaching
and thought that his jacket almost matched the colour of the sky. I sat on a bench that happened to be very handy and pointed the camera skywards. You just never know how these photos will turn out, but I’m happy with all of them.
Post editing was carried out using Photoshop CS6 and my imagination. I’ve tried to keep as much of the Autumnal feeling as possible. In my opinion, you can’t beat the challenges of Street Photography. If you have a website and you enjoy street photography, I’d love to hear from you.
